Music Alive! is a series of FREE weekly Zoom webinars which focuses on music, rhythm, and wellness for ALL AGES, hosted by a panel of international experts working with a variety of intergenerational populations, including children, teens, communities and seniors. The one-hour Autumn 2021 sessions will be presented on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of October, November, and December. The 1st Wednesday sessions will take place at 7:00 pm ET, and the 3rd Wednesday sessions will be at 4:00 pm ET. A video of each presentation, along with activities, will be posted on this web page, which we encourage you to use as a future resource. With support from Music for People, and a wonderful group of international musicians/educators/healers (which keeps growing) we have created a series of webinars to assist intergenerational populations with activities involving music and movement, designed for anyone and EVERYONE (even if you think you have no musical experience). NO MUSICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Begun in May 2020, in the first months of the Covid pandemic, Music Alive! was originally designed for seniors, caregivers, and their families, as a way to stay connected while being isolated from their loved ones. During the past 18 months we have presented 38 musical wellness programs, which we encourage you to use as a resource, which are available for viewing at your pleasure. Thank you for joining us every other Wednesday on this musical healing journey.

Jim Boneau presenting Life in the Rumble Zone: Tapping Into Your Potential LINK for Video Presentation Every day, we encounter various levels of disruptive change. The weather turns from hot to cold, and we adapt. People we depend on change their minds, and we adapt. Work presents a new challenge, and we adapt. This time of change, when old patterns shift and new patters emerge, is a Rumble Zone. These days, every day feels like another journey into The Rumble Zone. And each of these journeys also become an opportunity to tap into your potential. Your human potential to adapt, thrive, or just be in The Rumble Zone is inside of you, waiting to come out. In this session, Jim Boneau, author of the book The Rumble Zone, will share 5 frames of awareness everyone needs to tap into their human potential. Through dialog, rhythmical explorations, and self-reflection, this session will give you the mindsets needed to re-frame your Rumble Zone. In addition, you will gain insights into the connection between rhythm and the power of all our human potential.
Janelle is a masterful facilitator and musician, with experience going back to the early days of digital programming. She is a true pioneer in the field of music and wellness, and has been leading interactive music programs since before we had the wealth of data and training programs that now exist. She will be sharing with us about the positive and healing effects the Udu drum has had in her life, highlights from her storied career, and her work to empower others through music-making, including creating and leading Rock Camps with teen girls.
The two activities associated with the most global brain activation are music and movement! Movement in your drum circle can enhance energy and focus, it can provide an additional platform for creativity, and is a way to facilitate group rhythm without drums. We are going to learn movement activities for youth ages 5-18 and their applications to groups with different needs.
