Drum Circle - Philadelphia, PA - March 2019

Drum Circles - Music for Everyone

Drumming is for everyone! Drum circles create instant connection, joy, and creativity ─ no experience needed, just the willingness to play.

Drumming is music's universal language ─accessible, engaging, and fun for all. In my drum circles, participants explore rhythm using not only drums but also body percussion, voices, found sounds, and instruments from around the world.

These interactive workshops help groups discover hidden potential, strengthen communication, and build joyful, connected communities. Whether for a classroom, workplace, or community gathering, each session blends creativity, collaboration, and play.

With decades of experience, I bring fresh energy and innovative approaches to every circle, guiding participants from listening and connecting to collaborating and creating together.

"Mary's facilitation of the drum/rhythm circle at the conference was amazing. How she made the group of unknown come together to create a rhythm utilizing the concepts of acceptance, uniqueness and gifts that all possess was spectacular! I wish I had taped it for you to see, but I was too busy participating and lending my own rhythm to the group!"
Carla L Chapman, Director; APSLearns, Akron, OH

"Your success is detectable on the smiling faces and enthusiastic drumming of the hundreds of children and adults you lead each week in Battery Park."

Abby Ehrlich, Programming Director
