For over 30 years Mary Knysh has been involved with the international non-profit organization, Music for People. serving as the Program Director of their Musicianship and Leadership Training program in the United States, Switzerland, Spain, Germany and Holland, as well as many Improvisational Workshops in the United States.
WHO WE ARE Music for People is a worldwide community dedicated to the belief that all people are inherently musical, creative, and capable of authentic, spontaneous expression, designed for people of all ages and levels of experience. Over the last 30+ years members of the American based non-profit organization, Music for People, have been promoting a holistic and humanistic approach to the way music is learned and shared through the art of free improvisation. OUR MISSION Our mission is to encourage an accessible and mindful approach to personal creative expression through improvisation in a safe, joyful, and nonjudgmental atmosphere. WHAT WE BELIEVE We believe music made in this way is a powerful path to personal and social transformation, artistic freedom, and community building.
