Integrating Music, Rhythm, Movement and Story
Integrating Music, Rhythm, Movement and Story
About this Teacher Training:
Mary's teaching philosophy encapsulates Orff's well-known quote: "Tell me, I forget. Show me, I remember. Involve me, I understand." As a long time teaching artist, performer, Orff Schulwerk conference clinician, Remo Inc and Rhythm Band Instruments endorsee and international educational author, Mary is deeply committed to the positive effects of the brain based experiential learning process. These innovative teaching strategies encourage students to have a sense of "ownership" in the music making process so they understand music from "the inside out". With this 21st Century Brain Based approach to education Mary's primary goal is to educate students experientially by drawing out (educing) the genius that lives within them.
