Pathways to Learning Teacher Training
Integrating Music, Rhythm, Movement and Story
Integrating Music, Rhythm, Movement and Story
During the Pathways to Learning Teacher Training, Mary utilizes the Orff-Schulwerk approach to teaching, which was developed during the 1920's by German composer, Carl Orff. The Orff-Schulwerk (school work) method, a child-centered way of learning, combines music, movement, drama and speech in the curriculum. During this professional development training you will learn an innovative approach to education that will transform your teaching and the way your students learn, experience and create music!
As an Orff-Schulwerk conference clinician (American Orff-Schulwerk Association) Mary Knysh has designed this 1, 3, or 5-day training for Orff music educators, early childhood educators, special needs teachers, drum circle facilitators, music therapists, and healthcare professionals. The activities presented are designed for students of all ages as well as adults and senior populations.

Brain research tells us that making music, movement, creative play, and numinous experiences are key to neuroplasticity and brain-based learning. Mary Knysh shares an innovative approach to teaching classroom ukulele that features these key learning components and incorporates an accessible and sequential teaching model designed to engage and include all levels of learners in your classroom.
